Database management, contact management, clients lists– whatever you call them I can hear you groaning right now! I was the same way until a few days ago. As a Marketing Consultant I know that it is vital to any marketing process to update my database, but I am just as guilty as everyone else because I am horrible at doing it. Then something awful happened that which I am still trying to recover from: my hard drive crashed.
The crash made me realize a lot of things, most importantly I have got to get better about keeping accurate records and getting them online! With that realization and the time on my hands to do something about it, I went searching for an online database solution, more commonly known as CRM, Customer Relationship Management. I wanted something simple and preferably free. I have found that with Insightly.
Insightly allows you to keep a full history of all of your clients, leads and business partners. You can create tags for each contact making them easier to find. You can link clients to their main company file and import all contact details right from your email program– even Outlook! My favorite feature is that it works with Google Apps which I have recently converted to. Insightly is a free CRM tool and it is 100% Internet based so if your computer goes down like mine did, you can still access your database. It is a great solution!

Hi,
Would recommend Insightly as a CRM system for a Real estate agent? Can you customize it to enter clients property details that they have either purchased or sold, anniversary dates? Can you set up campaigns?
Thank you for your insight

Hi Michael,
I would recommend it to Realtors because Insightly recently added options for custom fields and the ability to attach files to each contact. You can also see direct relationships between your referrals.
Hope this helps!
