How are your clients searching the MLS? {Technology Tuesday}

How are your clients and prospects searching for homes online? Are they using generic sites like Realtor.com or your company’s website or even worse a competitor’s website? Did you know that for fairly inexpensive you can host the MLS on your own, personal real estate website?

One of the easiest ways to have the MLS on your website is to buy a template real estate website through a vendor. Now notice I said easiest, not best. I still think templated websites are not wise to use and do nothing to differentiate you from your competition. With that in mind, I suggest you look at these two services to install the MLS on your website: IDX Broker and Diverse Solutions.

Both solutions offer many of the same features including basic, advanced MLS search, lead login page, property flyers and social media integration. Both also offer plugins for your WordPress blog, but only one service includes these plugins in the monthly price. IDX Broker has several widgets that are easy to install in your WordPress sidebar with items like featured listings and advanced search tools that are easily accessible to your clients and prospects. I personally recommend IDX Broker to my clients not only for the additional features that it has, but also the cost is much less expensive than other solutions out there. Don’t risk losing your clients and prospects to your competitors– even those in your office! Take the step and add the MLS to your website today!
